Taking Your Show on the Road
As most of you know, we're fresh off an awesome tour of Europe. If you came to our EuroParty last month, you likely heard all about it. It was that incredible experience got us thinking about bike tours in general. How many of our OYM friends have taken them? Where are some of the best places to go? Things like that. New Justice for Hit & Run Victims: The Aaron Cohen Life Protection Act
This week Florida Governor Rick Scott traveled to South Florida to ceremonially sign the Aaron Cohen Life Protection Act which officially went into law on July 1st. Trigger Point Therapy: Integrative Health for Athletes
We like to call trigger point therapy ‘pre-hab’ rather than rehab. At OYM, we tend to see many runners come in with injuries from the knees down such as plantar fasciitis. Our cyclists complain more about injuries from the knees up, like hip, thigh and IT band tightness. Trigger points are localized areas of inflammation in tissue which may be the result of muscle overuse, mechanical overload, lack of exercise, improper physical conditioning, chronic stress, joint problems or vitamin deficiencies. In more chronic cases, these problematic areas can become scar tissue encased within the muscle and result in serious injuries. (Photo...
