Electric Bikes: Common Questions
Do I need a license to ride an e-bike in Florida?
Not for the vast majority of e-bikes. Florida treats electric bicycles as bicycles, not mopeds, as long as they fit one of the three e-bike classes and the motor is 750 watts or less. Riders under 16 must wear a helmet.
Florida e-bike laws, explained
What's the difference between Class 1, 2 and 3 e-bikes?
Class 1 is pedal assist only, up to 20 mph. Class 2 adds a throttle, also up to 20 mph. Class 3 is pedal assist up to 28 mph. Class 1 has the widest access to paths and trails; Class 3 can be restricted on narrower shared paths.

How far will an e-bike go on one charge?
Each model lists an estimated range, but real-world range depends on how much assist you use, rider weight, wind and tire pressure. Tell us how far you ride and we'll help you pick the right battery.
Is an e-bike right for me?
If you want to ride farther, commute without arriving sweaty, or keep up with faster friends, an e-bike opens a lot of doors.

Buying a Bike from On Your Mark
Can I test ride a bike before I buy?
Yes, and we encourage it. Come by the showroom at 821 Federal Hwy in Lake Park (Mon–Fri 10–6, Sat 10–4) and ride the bikes you're considering. If you're after a specific model or size, call (561) 842-2453 before you come.
Do bikes come assembled? Do you ship?
Bikes bought in the shop leave fully assembled and ready to ride. We also prepare and ship bikes: bikes bought online arrive partially assembled.
Is the first tune-up really free?
Yes. The first tune-up on a bike you buy from us is free. New bikes settle in over the first few weeks of riding as cables stretch and parts bed in, so bring it back once you've put some miles on it.
