Hydrate and Ride Great
Summer in South Florida is never the time to take chances with hydration - especially when cycling. Keeping your body healthy and hydrated on a daily basis will go a longer way toward setting you up for a successful ride than anything else. Sipping 12-16 ounces of water about four hours before climbing onto your bike for a moderate-paced ride is a good plan. Then, around two hours before you start, slowly drink another 12 ounces. OYM is looking forward to coaching cyclists in the Jaguars Triathlon Youth Club Summer Camp 2013. We've worked with Coach Shelley Flowers since the very first year her top-notch summer program began. Team OYM at St. Anthony's Triathlon Weekend 2013
What a weekend we had at the 30th Annual St. Anthony's Triathlon! We had 3 women and 8 men in OYM gear racing this year! We're happy to report there were NO bike mechanical issues this year! (With the exception of Jim's flat in the lobby of the hotel the day of bike check in, we were great)! Amy Miteff took 2nd in her age group posting a 2:13 race time with a 22mph bike split! OYM Loves to Get Dirty
We had a blast at the 2013 Santos Fat Tire Festival in Ocala, Florida! From March 8 - 10th, this was our weekend home-away-from home as we sponsored one of the event campsites: It was an awesome weekend of trails, bikes, friends, and entertainment for all cycling enthusiasts to benefit the non-profit Ocala Mountain Bike Association (OMBA).
