WPBF A-List 2008 Nominated: Best Bike Shop in the Palm Beaches & the Treasure Coast
Cycling Club
Thank you for your interest in our club. We welcome both recreational and racing members. Your participation will strengthen our network of friends, teammates, sponsors, and riding partners thus creating a better program for all!

Membership

It is our intention to offer a program where members are required to support cycling thru racing and volunteer efforts, and in turn are eligible for incentives, discounts, sponsorhips, and good ole-fashioned fun!

To be active in our club a few requirements must be met:
  1. Dues - $30 for families and/or individuals, and $20 for juniors (13-18 years).

  2. Uniform Purchase – to be considered active you must purchase 1 jersey per year. The clothing is custom made, therefore we must place the order for the club all at the same time. We will try and do this during the summer to be ready for the following year. We understand this is not always practical so we'll do the best we can to make sure our members have a jersey even if they missed our order window. See order form for pricing.

  3. Participation – Chances are you already compete in races, and/or enter charity events so this requirement shouldnt cause much trouble. Our members are required to be active in racing or in a club/team support role. You must enter, and/or support a racer at a minimum of 3 races/events while wearing the club jersey.

  4. Obey the Laws of the Land.
  5. Positively promote our sponsors! Sponsorship is a two way street, and we want them to be proud of associating themselves with our organization.

Benefits

These are many and varied, and are subject to change without notice.

  1. 20% Discount at On Your Mark Performance Center & Bike Shop (Complete bikes and fit sessions are excluded)

  2. Participation – Training rides, special events, racing, clinics, etc. You will instantly be plugged into a network of cyclists that share the same passions as you! You cant ask for more!

  3. Newsletter – Needs more discussion. A Newsletter Coordinator will also be needed. The newsletter should start out being a quarterly publication. Any member can submit articles for publication in the newsletter.

  4. Support Programs –
    a. Discounts/Credits towards team clothing for Cat 1 – 2, Expert, and Junior racers.
    b. Race results rewards – this would be in the form of reimbursement for podium finishes.
    c. Annual Training Plans & guided performance testing – at your request, by a Certified USA Cycling Coach.
    d. Pro Deals – Special product sponsorship offered in addition to the regular member discounts.

Recreational Members

Racing and recreation offer two different types of participation in cycling. However, our goal is one in the same as we are trying to build the strongest community of riders possible. The recreation side our club is very important and we are seeking volunteers to spearhead the clubs activities in this area. Please send inquiries here.
What do recreational members do in the club? Most likely you'll be riding your bike... duh! The club can be a great place to meet other riders and form a smaller group that shares your same riding schedule and goals. Maybe one day you'll want to try a race for yourself! It can be a very rewarding experience. As a member of the club, you can depend on support from your fellow teammates to help you fix your bike at the last minute, group up for a hotel, share gasoline expenses, and most of all bring fellowship and enjoyment to your cycling experiences. You will not find that anywhere!

As a club we want to be involved in the community. Rec riders and racers can work together on projects that will expose the club and build trust within the local community. There are many ideas on the types of activities the club can develop.

For example:
a. Partner with local police to offer a free bicycle safety check/clinic. This can be a stand alone event or couple it with something else. Teach signaling, etiquette, safety, lighting, helmets, etc.
b. A racing event – Time Trial, Circuit, Road Race weekend. Cyclocross.
c. Benefit Ride – open to the community to raise awareness for a charity, organization, or program.
d. Insert ideas here...

On Your Mark Performance Center wants to offer a program unmatched by any other organization. If you feel you can offer the club something please join us and get started right away. We need your help to make it happen! Join today.
